Kejriwal faces protests during road show in capital
New Delhi, Apr.2 (ANI): Former Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday faced protests during his road show aimed at reviving the shrinking base among the common man and to consolidate his Aam Aadmi Party's (AAP) position in the upcoming general elections.
Protesters wore black bandanas and shouted anti-AAP and Kejriwal slogans. People said that Kejriwal has betrayed and broken trust of Delhi residents.
"We are against him. He is an escapist. He betrayed us. We gave him votes and he backstabbed us by running away," said an irked protester.
Meanwhile, senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Arun Jaitley said that AAP has lost its charm as its agenda of 'fight against corruption' has turned into 'fight against Modi'.
"When Aam Aadmi Party had come into existence, its aim was fight against corruption. But, they have left it in between and now there aim is fight against Modi. In this case, it is very obvious that they have lost their charm. And, hence people's attraction towards them has ended. Their position in the upcoming elections won't be good." said Jaitley. (ANI)
