Mankind Pharma ensures DHA sufficiency in growing children

Chandigarh, September 21, 2015: Mankind Pharma, 4th largest and fastest growing pharmaceutical company of India, through a hi-decibel campaign "DHA Campaign"has been spreading the awareness about the importance of DHA sufficiency among children within the age of 5 years. With the help of this 8 month long campaign, the company reached out to 2500 pediatrician and 12000 children across the country.

It is believed that 90% of the brain development takes place in kids within the age of 5 years and the brain grows 3 times bigger in size, hence DHA sufficiency at this age is very important for robust development. Moreover, vitamin D deficiency is prevalent in epidemic proportions in India, ranging from 70% to 80% in the general population leading to bone deformation among children below the age of 2 years
