GIM to organise Samriddhi, national conference on ' Unbroken: Failure is not final'
Chandigarh, August 2015: Every year Samriddhi – an annual national conference organised by the students of Goa Institute of Management (GIM) addresses issues related to various spheres of development and strives to find practical and viable solutions for industrial growth. This year with the theme 'Unbroken: Failure is not final' the students of GIM aim to pay homage to champions who have risen in the face of failures and triumphed against all odds.
The three day national event will be held from the 28th to 30th August, 2015 at the Goa Institute of Management campus in Sanquelim.
Not everyone reflects on failure in the same way. While some take it as a fuel to move forward, there are others who take it as a reason to give up. 'Failure is a stepping stone to success' is a statement repeated time and again and Samriddhi 2015 is out to prove the statement true. It aims to equip future managers with pearls of wisdom from some of our country's finest leaders, highlighting their journey through struggles and learn from their experiences.
During the 3 day - long conference, eminent and extraordinary personalities from across various fields, who stood up against all odds, facing failure and struggles as a challenge only to emerge triumphant in the end, will be visiting the campus and sharing their experiences with the students. Some of the speakers include, Mr John Kuruvilla who in his 30 year long career has helped turn around several loss making companies; Dr Sujaya Banerjee, Chief Talent Officer and Senior VP of Essar Group; Snehal Desai, Associate Vice President of Adani Group, RamG Vallath, bestselling author of 'Oops the Mighty Gurgle' and 'From Ouch to Oops'.
This year in keeping with the theme, Samriddhi has organised 'Dakshata', a panel discussion revolving around the Indian Entrepreneurship Scenario. The panellists will include Sarath Babu (Founder & CEO, FoodKing), Sishir Garemella (Founder & CEO, Sunvest Pvt. Ltd) and Desmond Nazareth (Founder & CEO, Agave India). It will be moderated by Mr Jervis Pereira, (Director at Goa IT Innovation Center) and will highlight the struggles faced, common mistakes made by startups, failures that need to be conquered and how start ups can succeed, , along with a discussion on the future growth of upcoming start-ups.
The 2015 edition promises to be immensely better in terms of prominent delegates and dignitaries invited to present their views on the theme 'Unbroken: Failure is not final'.
