Walmart India reaches milestone: All 20 Best Price Cash Carry Stores go online to give Omni-channel service to members
Chandigarh, July 21, 2015: WalmartIndia, the wholly owned subsidiary of Walmart Stores Inc., reaches a significant milestone as it completes extending its B2B e-commerce operations to all of the 20 Best Price Modern Wholesale stores present in9 states. Theinitiative has been extended to stores located in Punjab (Amritsar, Bhatinda, Jalandhar, Ludhiana and Zirakpur), Uttar Pradesh (Agra, Meerut and Lucknow), Telangana (Hyderabad), Andhra Pradesh (Guntur, Rajahmundry and Vijaywada), Madhya Pradesh(Bhopal's two stores and Indore), Maharashtra (Amravati and Aurangabad), Chhattisgarh (Raipur), Jammu & Kashmir (Jammu), and Rajasthan (Kota).

This B2B ecommerce is a 24/7 interactive site and ensuresconvenience of easy selection & payment along with efficient delivery of quality products at the member's doorstep, thus making it a seamless shopping experience.As a virtual store, the e-commerce platform provides a similar assortment of products as the brick and mortar Best Price Modern Wholesale stores including a select variety of fresh fruits and vegetables.
Walmart India launched its B2Be-commerce platform on 1stJuly, 2014 for members of Lucknow and Hyderabad Best Price stores, gradually extending it to all. Various workshops were organized to generate awareness and create better understanding of the website navigation, benefits and registration processes. Only registered members of the Best Price Modern Wholesale stores are eligible to transact online.Eligible establishments (resellers, kirana shop owners, hotels, restaurants, caterers and offices and institutions) in the catchment areas can transact only after registering as members.
