RENAULT LAUNCHES THE LODGY PREMIUM STEPWAY EDITION - INDIA'S FIRST CROSSOVER MPV

New Delhi, June 16, 2015: Renault India, one of the country's fastest growing automobile manufacturers, recently made its foray into India's MPV segment with Renault Lodgy, a segment it pioneered globally more than three decades ago.


With the introduction of the Renault Lodgy Premium Stepway Edition today, the company achieved another milestone - of launching India's first crossover MPV! The superior performance, assertive styling and best-in-class features of the new Lodgy Premium Stepway Edition will set it apart from all other MPV's in the segment.


Lodgy Premium Stepway Edition will be available in 2 variants, Lodgy RxZ 110Ps 8 seater and Lodgy RxZ 110Ps 7 seater, with premium leather blended upholstery, at an introductory pricing of Rs. 11.99 Lakh and 12.29 respectively (ex-showroom, New Delhi).

Renault Lodgy Premium Stepway Edition has several design cues which highlight its assertive styling including the stylish jewel studded front grille, black and chrome satin roof rail, anthracite alloy wheels, Stepway front bumper, chrome satin finished front and rear skid plates, chrome finished scuff plate, front and rear wheel arch cladding, black side moulding with chrome inserts, fog lamp garnish with chrome satin finish and a signature Stepway decal.


The Lodgy Premium Stepway Edition is fully loaded with the highest level of equipment which includes ABS, EBD, brake assist, driver and passenger airbags, rear wiper and defogger, rear parking sensor, rear view camera, central locking, power steering, power windows, rear AC for 2nd & 3rd row occupants, electrically adjustable mirrors, MediaNav entertainment and navigation system with speakers, audio and phone controls, cruise control and speed limiter.

The Lodgy Premium Stepway Edition is powered by the reliable and fuel efficient 1.5 litre K9K dCi (common rail direct injection) engine and will deliver 110PS of maximum power and peak torque of 245Nm@1750rpm. The engine is mated to a first-in-segment 6 speed manual transmission, with excellent fuel efficiency of 19.98 kmpl*.

The superior performance of the Lodgy Premium Stepway Edition is boosted by Ergo-Drive technology which means the car is conditioned to offer superior acceleration and power, ease of ride and handling along with great mileage.

Together with its 2810mm wheelbase, which is the best-in-class, the convenient and innovative modularity of the Lodgy Premium Stepway Edition will add to its dynamism. The 60:40 split 2nd row and 50:50 split 3rd row, allow all seats to be folded and tumbled. The 3rd row can be twin tumbled folded and secured or extracted as per the requirement. This modularity, allowing 56 seat configurations, offers the best of comfort, storage and versatility. It also has the best boot volume of 207 litres with all seats in place.

The Lodgy Premium Stepway Edition also has the highest level of equipment and features with its Media-Nav system having a 7" multicolor touch-screen for multimedia and navigation. It includes USB, Bluetooth and aux-in connectivity; and its navigation features include a 2D/Bird view display, alternative routes, points of interest and is available with 3 years of free map updates. It also comes with a speed-sensitive volume control which automatically adjusts the sound of the music system depending on the speed of the car.

To make parking easy, Renault offers rear parking sensors and a rear view camera with guidelines. Other features include phone and audio control on the steering, headlight turn on reminder, and 12V charging sockets on every row.

The Lodgy Premium Stepway Edition will be available across all Renault dealerships in India from today.
