Videocon Connect Super Jodi-3' holds City Finale

Chandigarh, April 12, 2015: After celebrating huge success of Connect Super Jodi, last year, Connect Broadband, in collaboration with Videocon Telecom, kick started the Mega contest again in the month of February. Through a unique initiative to bring the couples closer, 'Videocon Connect Super Jodi Contest', provides a platform to hundreds of couples across Punjab to graciously celebrate love for their partners.



Today, 40 couples from Chandigarh reignited their soulful chemistry with playful activities at Panjab University. The couples enthralled the audience with mesmerizing performances. Punjabi singers Jashan and Jasssimran Singh enthralled the audience at Panjab University with their captivating performances. The couples were judged on the basis of performances by eminent judges.



Large number of couples participated in the auditions; Chandigarh witnessed 20 audition events that lasted for a period of two months, out of which 40 couples qualified for City Finale round. Overall close to 300 couples auditioned in the initial rounds this year. The qualified couples competed against each other in the City Finale round to get into the Grand Finale. The couples were judged on basis of their compatibility and talent. The winning couples from City Finale will put forward their best performances to win the coveted 'Videocon Connect Super Jodi' title and will also take away the luxurious grand prize of a foreign trip to the shopping paradise Dubai.



Commenting on the VIDEOCON CONNECT Super Jodi, Mr. Arvind Bali, Director and CEO, Connect Broadband & Videocon Telecommunications Limited, said, "Audition rounds this year have been a huge success. This property is already in the third year and participation has been all time high. Buzz created by Super Jodi has been overwhelming."



Designed to signify the 'CONNECTION' between two people this event is structured in three tiers including audition rounds, city finales and the grand finale. The Chandigarh and Punjab-wide Mega Contest this year received stupendous and encouraging response to the auditions. The auditions saw exciting performances by the people of all major cities of Punjab and Chandigarh. Married couples and committed couples danced and sang to the beats of peppy music, giving an enchanting ambience at the audition venue. Performing couples also received gifts hampers from Connect Broadband, Renault and Club Mahindra.

Grand Finale shall see couples chosen across Punjab participating in the final contest on 26th April in Tagore Theatre, Chandigarh competing against each other for the grand prize.
